The Jumbo is a watch that you "mature" into. As your taste in watches evolves over the years you tend to move to more refined time pieces. Once I though that a "real" watch should have at least a chrono and most definitely a seconds hand. To think back then that I would fall in love with the "Jumbo" surely was since-fiction. With no seconds, no apparent complication and no Chrono! What a piece of junk... I was wrong. |
Impressions |
| |
When I first came in contact with the Jumbo I was flabbergasted at its near perfect proportions. Refinement to me, up and until-then, was something that just did not mix with Sporty watches. I was also intrigued by the fact that this watch was designed and conceived 30 years ago and except for some minor changes it still is that exact same watch! |
Day-to-Day |

Due to its versatile nature it is a time-piece that will not require you to have many other watches. Which poses a problem if you have many watches that you like to wear. It just goes with everything; suits, tuxedoes, shirts, polos, etc... It is also extremely conformable and pleasant to wear. The weight is heavy enough to know that you are wearing something important and it still is light enough to forget about it. An added bonus is the fact that considering the price it is an inconspicuous item to the untrained eye, ideal for everyday use. Sometimes an "understatement" is the biggest statement. |

The fact that the Jumbo does not have a seconds hand gives the watch, when you look at it, a deep sense of tranquility. It just seems pleasant and soothing. I love this watch evenings or weekends. When time ceases to be "money" and it becomes something that just goes by... |

In my opinion there are very few 10s out there, this is definitely one of them. If you would ask me the "eternal" question (the one that most of us have been asked); If you could only have ONE, what watch would you choose for the rest of your life? I would probably go with this one. |
