A new demonstration from the master of retrograde complications and argued designs. Their watches leave nobody indifferent; you can love them or hate them. It's a funny watch for "true" collectors, somebody who has an important collection and looks for something different. For my taste, at that price range, the watch looks too much like a toy (maybe this is its charm). For my tiny wrists, it's too large and bulky, and I find it a bit difficult to read. Something fresh and different, an interesting design and complications. It certainly will have its fans. |

The original design of Genta keeps reflecting itself in its watches as well as its complications. In that sense, the CuatroRetro is impeccable. The group should take note and apply some of that to the other brands. |

Genta's connection with retrograde indicators is practically history; he started with them years before anyone else thought of it, and was almost too far ahead of his time. The Quattroretro approaches a new way of showing all those impossible to read tiny sub dials, and I like it just for being different and legible, as well as cool to look at with its highly recognizable Genta look. Major mistake is to have the back open, showing the small movement through sapphire glass in a surround of metal. They should have closed it up, or offered a larger movement to see. |
