Lange 1 "World Traveler"
by A. Lange & Söhne

¡La perfección absoluta¡ Ya se entiende porqué Lange & Söhne sólo presenta una sola novedad al año. Tras un pequeño tiempo de práctica, el usuario se familiariza pronto  con el uso de las diferentes funciones.

Impressive work from Lange, once again. A very clever design for a world time watch with a correct size to make it easy to read. Great finishing as usual from this manufacturer. The only negative part is the dial--a bit cluttered, but a minor flaw. Maybe a classic in the future. IMHO an important competitor for Patek World Time.

Great new take on the world traveller problem, with night zones, but I just hate the large dominating date and power reserve on a romantic World Time dial especially when the rest is cramped. I find it hard to get past that and enjoy the rest.

At this point we all understand the "second time zone." We also understand that the "Lange 1" is a wonderful mechanical achievement. Unfortunately the promotion was excessive and the presentation overdone. Not to mention the special course you need to give customers for something so simple as traveling with a watch..

Except for the PP 5110 (and that's because it is a classic), I never liked cities on the dial. I also have a feeling that the dial is too cluttered. Remember: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The Lange dial layout works so well for this function: the large and small dial make it so easy to literally and visually switch to home and visiting cities. The small dials showing day and night in both locations are also spot on and very functional. But I'm just a simple old coot: although I travel a lot, please just give me a third hand, and I'll do the rest. This is a great watch, but I don't require such an integral solution and would be more at home with the simplicity offered by Rolex or Patek in that department. If you buy this baby, you are opting for much more than just time zones; the inimitable aura of Lange permeates everything here.

Fantastic work by Lange & Söhne, have no words.

It happens to be a brand that impresses me more because of their calibers than by their dials. I simply like it, but it does not drive me wild.
